My name is Kristy Huntsman, and I’ve been homeschooling for the past 14 years. My husband, Lance, and I have been married for 20 years, and we live just outside of Ada with our two daughters. I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music Performance, as well as a Master’s in Biblical Studies. I’m currently continuing my education through the Biblical Mastery Academy, studying Greek and Hebrew.

In addition to homeschooling, I run a YouTube channel called From the Roots Up, where we focus on traditional skills like food preservation, sewing, and home management. I’m also the author of several Bible studies in the Finer Grounds series and regularly speak at Christian women’s events around the country.

More than anything, I believe our homes should be a place of peace, purpose, and practicality, and those things don’t happen by accident. My goal in this class is to give students the tools and confidence to manage real-life responsibilities, express creativity, and begin thinking intentionally about the kind of home they want to build one day. We’ll be hands-on, a little messy at times, and always learning. I’m excited to walk alongside your kids this year as they grow in both skill and purpose.
